Financial Advice Provider & Adviser Disclosure Statement

Financial Advice Provider [FAP]: Financial Insight NZ Limited

Financial Adviser [FA]: Gregory A. Coldicutt

This Disclosure Statement is effective:  30th July 2025

LICENSING INFORMATION:

Financial Insight NZ Limited (FSP72251) holds a full Class 1 Licence issued by the Financial Markets Authority to provide financial advice. Gregory A. Coldicutt is a licensed Financial Adviser (FSP67081) contracted to Financial Insight NZ Limited. He advises on investment, life assurance and associated financial services products.

NATURE & SCOPE OF ADVICE:

Financial Insight NZ Limited provides advice to our clients about investment, retirement planning, KiwiSaver, superannuation,  life insurance, trauma insurance, disability or income protection insurance, and health insurance. Depending completely on your requirements for financial advice, we may offer comprehensive Financial Planning advice services or a limited advice service, constrained to the matter you’ve engaged us for. This will be explained clearly in our Scope of Advice document, provided to you before our Statement of Advice document and before any implementation.

We do NOT offer direct placement of investment services or handle client monies in any way; rather, we act as intermediaries should you choose to act on our advice. Investment funds are deposited directly with the selected fund manager by you using internet banking. And Insurance premiums are paid directly from your bank account to the insurer’s bank account. Only our invoices to you are to be paid into our designated bank account. We do not accept cash for our direct invoices, but we may accept cryptocurrency in the future.

We provide financial advice implementation services from leading New Zealand Fund Managers and Insurers:

  • For investment and KiwiSaver, we choose to work with our preferred partners at Booster, Milford and Consilium.
  • For life assurance, we choose to work with our preferred insurers, namely AIA, Asteron, Fidelity, and Chubb Life.
  • For health insurance, we choose to work with our preferred insurers, namely AIA and nib.
  • We do NOT advise on Fire & General insurances, but we refer clients to our partners at Blanket Brokers.

FEES, EXPENSES, and INCENTIVES:

Financial Insight NZ Limited operates a ‘hybrid’ remuneration model. For financial advice, we may charge an hourly or flat rate for advice given, which is mutually agreed upon prior to engagement. For insurance advice and/or placement, we receive an upfront commission upon policy inception, plus a small annual commission to service the product and be available to you for reviews or claims. For investment services, we agree to an upfront advice fee payable for a comprehensive or limited Financial Plan and then, once invested, a small percentage is paid to us from within the Funds Under Management [FUM] to monitor and review these assets on your behalf. We do not charge an upfront fee on investment funds placed with a Fund Manager. In most cases, our remuneration is a combination of the above, all fully transparent and agreed to before engagement.

Should you purchase Fire & General Insurance through our referral to Blanket Brokers, we will be paid an annual commission.

Our signature ‘Premier Care’ Wealth Mentoring program is offered to select clients, the fee for which is either monthly by Auto Payment or annually by invoice.

Your Financial Adviser, Gregory A. Coldicutt, is paid a personal income by Financial Insight NZ Limited.

In addition, Financial Insight NZ Limited will charge a fee for the financial advice provided to a client where a client cancels a life or health policy within two years of inception. Insurers “claw back” or reclaim commission paid to us for the placement of an insurance policy that lapses or is cancelled up to two years from inception, and this is a pro-rata rate depending on how long the policy has been in force before cancellation. Our invoice for this fee, which equates to the sum reclaimed by the Insurer, and which evidence is provided with the invoice, will be payable by the client by the 20th of the month following the invoicing date.

To ensure our financial advisers prioritise our clients’ interests above their own, we follow an advice process that ensures our recommendations are made based on each client’s goals and circumstances only. As such, neither Financial Insight NZ Limited nor our financial advisers receive any incentives from Financial Service Providers. To do so may have the effect of bias on the financial advice provided to the client, and so we diligently avoid such incentives.
